We bought a 5 bedroom wreck and Bonchurch turned it into our fabulous home in record time. We were expecting a lot of headaches and stress relating to a build of this scale but in fact was executed painlessly and professionally because so much detail was covered at our initial meetings. It was a pleasure to work with Sam and his fantastic hard working team. Naturally, there were unexpected issues that arose during the build but they were dealt with quickly and sensibly and the attention to detail in the final stages was fantastic.

People often comment about the quality of the ‘finish’ in the house. There was no quibbling over snagging and the build came in on time and on budget and for that we are very grateful. So much so, I’d happily go through it all again! We should have no hesitation in recommending Bonchurch.

We’ve just completed a 5000 sq foot renovation with Bonchurch, who have been faultless in their execution and attitude. Hard working, highly skilled and considerate to those around us, their quality of workmanship and that of their sub contractors is the highest that I’ve seen. Their attitude is to do the job to the best possible standard that they can. At snagging stage I spotted three or four small cracks in the paintwork caused by new build movement. They noted many more. If you miss an imperfection they will spot it and correct it. Sam and his team’s attitude was exemplary.

Just before Christmas last year, our site was burgled in a very professional way and most of Bonchurch’s tools were stolen. I found out only because my neighbours told me. Bonchurch considered it their problem and not mine. Not a working day was lost or a whinge heard. Now the house is finished, I’ve had my neighbours – who’ve had to put up with builders for a year – praising Bonchurch for their consideration and cleanliness. One came over to say she’d had builders all around her for the last 5 years and Bonchurch were in a considerate class of their own. One hears so many stories of people falling out with their builders and neighbours. With Bonchurch, such things seem impossible.

My wife and I have used Bonchurch on multiple occasions over the years; when we brought our current home we used Sam Cooper and his team to make some quite dramatic structural and decorative changes. To say that they excelled in every job that they undertook would be a gross understatement. They delivered for us within budget and on time. The team could not have been more diligent and thoughtful when we were living in the house with the work going on and made what could and is usually a stressful process easy and comfortable.

The quality of their work however is for us, what really sets Bonchurch apart from the rest. I’ve worked with many other outfits over the years and none come close.

We initially worked with Bonchurch on a shopfit in the West End. Bonchurch bent over backwards to deliver an exceptional result within a seeming impossible budget and timeline. They incorporated design changes into their programme with a good grace, and nothing was ever too much trouble. There is a ‘can do’ attitude that pervades the company combined with a great work ethic and attention to detail. This is backed up by a calm and organised backroom operation, that detals with scheduling and logistics.

Bonchurch have gone on to become our principle contractor and have taken a large part of the stress out of delivering projects for us. Having worked in the industry for over 15 years and worked with a lot of contractors I would not hesitate to recommend Bonchurch. In the world of construction they are a genuine breath of fresh air.

The team from Bonchurch were very impressive. Expert, calm, quiet and committed – quite humbling to see how they simply got on with the job without any fuss. The Bonchurch team were also appreciated by the management of our block – particularly our excellent porter Alex. As you know Mansion blocks are not easy to work within but your team managed very well indeed. Your employees are obviously very loyal to Bonchurch and proud to work for you.

Finally and most importantly Lawrence was an extremely well organised project manager and very easy for us and our designer Robert Atherton to work with. He led the team brilliantly.
